While PLAYERUNKNOWN’s Battlegrounds has long been criticized for being a rather “heavy” game on the PC, Aware of this, the PUBG Corporation started in October 2018 the development of a Lite version of the game, whose Beta finally reached Steam.
Offering a limited amount of content so far, the new version differentiates itself by requiring only an i3 processor to work. In addition, it was made to run using the graphics chips integrated into the processor. Check out the requirements:
- OS: Windows 7, 8 or 10 64-bit
- CPU: Core i3 2.4 GHz
- RAM: 4 GB
- GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000
- HDD: 4 GB
Another difference from PLAYERUNKNOWN’s Battlegrounds Lite is that you do not have to pay anything to play it. Currently the tests are only available in Thailand, but it seems that the support for servers from other regions is already connected to those who have been able to access the new version.
“We made this game for it to be played even with low specs, such as computers or laptops with integrated graphics,” said PUBG Corp. So far the company has no date for the official release of the new version, but promises to release more details as they become available.
